2008 Spring/Summer Tour - Day 68

I had a show this morning at the Carver branch library in Baton Rouge. It was a small crowd, maybe a dozen kids altogether, but they were very gung-ho and a lot of fun. As I was about to pack up my equipment after the show it started pouring really hard outside, and it was one of those cartoon rainstorms where it pretty much just covered the library... you could see through the window where the cloud ended and the sun was out just a short distance away. Luckily, we weren't in a hurry to get to the next show, so we stayed there and the girls played on the computers for a while until the rain stopped.

The second show was at the Bluebonnet library, and that one had a really big crowd that was also very gung-ho. There was some wild dancing at that one, including some full-on dancing by a lady who had to be... well, I've learned not to guess women's ages... but let's just say she is definitely in her "autumn years". I had to give her a special prize during the dance contest. The girls were showing signs of needing some rest, so Roseann took them out to the bus during that show and they had a short nap. I really missed them during "This Little Light of Mine", though.

We went out for dinner and did some shopping and then drove back to the RV park and went to bed after a while.

Fun and fashion with laptop box inserts...
