9/13/08 - Sandbox

The girls really enjoyed digging in Grandma Jean's garden recently. Grandma Jean didn't really enjoy that, though, so she suggested we get them a sandbox. Roseann found one on freecycle and picked it up and the girls got to work digging in it this afternoon. The sandbox was free but the pink and purple sand was not. Too bad we don't have a pink and purple beach near here...

I played two more softball games today and our fortunes were reversed from yesterday. We lost both games, though they were both quite close; the first one 8-7, and we almost tied it, and the second one 19-16 where we had rallied back to tie it at 16. If we had won that second game, we'd have played in the championship game, but would have had to beat that team twice. Considering how tired and sore I am right now after the four games we played this weekend, I can't say that I'm too incredibly disappointed that we didn't go on further. My box score for the weekend was 13-5-5-1, which wasn't bad, considering I haven't played softball or gone to batting cages or anything for a few years.

We went to game night tonight for a while and worked more on the "Blackbeard..." video. It's just about done now and we're hoping to post it to YouTube sometime on Monday.
