2008 Spring/Summer Tour - Day 93

I had another show at the KOA this morning and that went very well. Not a big crowd, but not bad, either, considering we weren't expecting too many as it was. Afterwards, I did the laundry while Roseann went to the Hughes' Theatre to meet up with them after their show. They invited us to their 4th of July picnic over at Gary and Lena's (the parents) house, so the girls had naps and then we all went over there.

We had a great time hanging out and talking with them. I got the full story from Lena and Jason about how their act got started and became successful, and Roseann mostly hung out and talked with Mara and Marty's wife, Cindy and Andy's wife, Becky. Marty and Andy couldn't make it, being at their sons' scout camp, but most of their kids were there, so Becca and Evee had a lot of fun playing with all of the many Hughes kids. After dinner, the kids watched a movie and we played Pandemic with Jason and Mara, winning on the easy level and barely losing on the normal level. Nobody had planned ahead to get any fireworks, but we were able to see some going off over the town on the way back to the RV park. We'll have to pick up some sparklers sometime soon for the girls.
