Evee seemed to be feeling better this morning and was asking for some milk and for something to eat, so I obliged her. Unfortunately, it didn't stay down. So we continued with freezie pops and some Gatorade and medicine, hoping those would stay down, which they sometimes did. We went shopping and then went back to Kent's and the girls had a bath and then Evee slept some more while Becca played with Gelsey, Kent's 6 year-old daughter. Those two became good friends right away when they met the other day and have had quite the crazy time playing together. I feel so bad that Evee can't play along, but I don't think Evee minds so much right now... she knows she needs to rest.
We mostly caught up on e-mail and made some calls today. We were supposed to go out to a nature preserve in Gilbert to meet Larissa and her family and also Roseann's sister-in-law, Angela, and a couple of her kids. (Angela is married to Roseann's brother, Perry, and they recently moved to Gilbert from Utah.) They're all going camping there this weekend and we were going to meet up with them and hang out for a few hours until bedtime and then drive back to plug in at Kent's. But there was no way we were going to bring Evee out there in her condition, so we'll be hooking up with them again either tomorrow (if Ev is feeling better) or on Sunday and/or Monday.
So we ended up hanging out at Kent's again and watched Lost and The Office while they went out to a high school choir concert that their daughter Emma was a part of. When they got home, we all had ice cream floats and we talked with Kent and his wife, Kris, for a while. The other night, they had asked Roseann the "So, how did you guys meet?" question and she had given them her side of the story, so I had to fill in my side tonight. It's a bit of a long story with some twists and turns... We try to keep it interesting and to the point, but we have to warn people when they ask that question and say, "Hmmm, do you have an hour or so??"
